We believe accounting should be transparent and easy to understand. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we’re asked.
If you don’t see your question here, feel free to book a free 30-minute review and we’ll be happy to help.
1. What’s included in your monthly packages?
Each package includes a clearly defined scope of services.
All monthly packages include:
Ongoing accounting support
Annual statutory accounts
Corporation Tax return
Confirmation Statement
Higher packages include additional services such as payroll, reporting and advisory support. Full details are available on our Pricing page.
2. Are there any additional charges outside the packages?
The only additional charges outside our packages are accounting and payroll software, which are charged separately at cost for full transparency.
We can provide proof of the actual software cost if required.
There are no hidden fees.
3. Do you require upfront payment?
Yes – in line with standard UK practice:
- One-off services (such as Self-Assessment and VAT returns) are charged 100% upfront
Late accounts or tax returns are charged 100% upfront
Monthly packages are billed monthly on a rolling basis.
4. Do you offer Self-Assessment tax returns as a standalone service?
Yes. We provide Self-Assessment tax returns as a fixed-fee, standalone service.
This is suitable for sole traders, company directors and individuals with straightforward tax affairs.
More complex returns may be quoted separately.
5. How do I get started?
The first step is to book a free 30-minute review.
During the call we’ll:
Discuss your situation
Explain what support you need
Outline pricing and next steps
There’s no obligation to proceed.
6. What software do you use?
We use Sage accounting software to manage bookkeeping and reporting.
Payroll is handled using reliable, HMRC-compliant payroll systems.
7. What if my business grows or changes?
If your business grows or your needs change, we’ll review your services and recommend the most suitable package.
Our pricing is flexible and designed to scale with your business.
8. Are you able to deal with late accounts or missed deadlines?
In some cases, yes.
Late accounts and tax returns are treated as priority work and are charged 100% upfront. Any penalties or interest charged by HMRC or Companies House remain the responsibility of the client.
9. Do you provide advice, or just compliance?
We provide both.
All clients receive compliant accounting services. Advisory support, management accounts and forecasting are included in our Advanced package.
10. How quickly do you respond to queries?
We aim to respond to emails and queries within one working day during normal business hours.
11. Do you work with tradespeople and contractors?
Yes. We work with many tradespeople, contractors and self-employed individuals.
Our approach is practical and designed to keep accounting simple and manageable alongside day-to-day work.
12. What if I only need help with one service?
That’s no problem.
We offer certain services, such as Self-Assessment tax returns and VAT returns, on a standalone, fixed-fee basis.
